Network Project Manager
Job Summary: Our client is looking for someone who will manage teams of technicians responsible for day-to-day construction activities such as the installation, turn-up and maintenance, placing, splicing, rearrangement, and/or removal of Outside Plant (OSP) including digital facilities.
Duties:
- Plan and assign work to technicians
- Review technician performance and provides feedback and coaching to technicians designed to address performance issues
- Conduct safety and quality inspections to ensure high quality and safe performance by technicians
- Identify and removes roadblocks to safe and efficient performance by technicians
- Ensure that technician training is complete
- Provide field inspections of cable/fiber placement and/or cable fiber splicing and/or construction work across the enterprise
- Perform field inspections of cable/fiber placement and/or cable fiber splicing and/or construction work, pre-survey of construction packages, data preparation and documentation in reporting field results
- Attend field meetings with personnel, as well as, government agencies and construction contractors
- Track monitor and update databases or other work groups on job status
- Prepare work requests, verify as correct change orders and/or invoices, complete documentation on job progress or issues surrounding job, review all documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting
- Deliver instructional training materials in various formats including but not limited to instructor-led, self-paced web-based, distance-learning and computer- based technologies
- Determine and measure student performance standards to various audiences from entry level through management levels in various disciplines
- Responsible for holding students accountable for the required learning; certifying students who obtain and are able to demonstrate the required knowledge of skills; or, not certifying students who do not obtain or demonstrate the required level of knowledge of skills
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
- PMP certification
- 5+ years of Budget Tracking experience
- 5+ years of creating process documentation
- 5+ years of Network architecture and design experience
- 3+ years experience provisioning circuits, ordering routers/switches via 3rd party suppliers
- 3+ years Legacy company experience
- Ability to gather quantitative data and analyze
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams
